Ruth Olsen, a retired teacher in New York City middle schools, has participated with Society members in many events, including climate marches. She joined our Society on Dec. 1 at the suggestion of member Janet Glass, her friend of 55 years.
Alice Weissman, longtime and highly esteemed member of our Society, died peacefully in hospice, in the loving care of her daughter, Ann, on August 31 at age 91. Society leader Joe Chuman reports that Alice came from several generations of Ethical Culturists and that she and Sam had joined the Society in the 1950s.
Herbert Wekselblatt, longstanding member of our Ethical Culture Society and a former principal tuba player with The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, died on July 14 in Vero Beach, Florida. He was 92.
