Our Sunday School provides ethical education for children of all ages. For the 2019-20 school year, our class themes are “Exploring the Self: Who Am I” (primary); “Around the World” (elementary); “Learning about Conflict Resolution” (juniors); and “Prejudice and Stereotypes” (seniors). Read More
Ethical Culture members and friends of all ages–17 in all–donned hairnets on Sunday to help pack meals for Haitian schoolchildren. They were participating in the 9th annual Teaneck Packathon for Haiti and helped pack some 123,000 meals for two schools. These meals allow more kids to attend school, where some receive their only hot meal of the day.Read More
On a recent Sunday our students reinvigorated old student-designed T-shirts by tie-dying them. The kids started their day by recognizing International Peace Day in a gathering around the Peace Pole. Several wore their tie-dyed creations the following Sunday on their field trip to Wave Hill gardens and cultural center in the Bronx.Read More
Our new Director of Ethical Education is Samantha Stankiewicz. Samantha, who has taught the Primary, Elementary, and Junior classes, is excited to make our Sunday School the best it can be and to show our children that they can create a strong, fulfilling life by living their ethical values with our community.
