More than 100 members and friends of all ages, inside the meetinghouse and outside, in person and on Zoom, celebrated the power of the written word at our Festival of the Banned and Forgotten Book on March 20, the Society’s response to the recent increase in censorship, bans, and book-burnings in our country. Participants listened to a variety of readings, visited the coffee shop (Café del Libro Prohibido), broadcast their support for books at a selfie stand, and celebrated with music.
