It is not often that an Ethical Culturist publishes a book directed primarily at an Ethical Culture audience. Speaking of Ethics by leader, Joe Chuman, does precisely that. The book is an anthology of 26 essays modified from platform addresses given by Joe over the past 30 years. It is divided into four topic areas: “Ethics in Private Life;” “Public Issues;” “Humanist Heroes;” and “Interpretations of Ethical Culture.” The book includes a preface by Dr. Marc Bernstein, Bergen Society member and former archivist of the American Ethical Union.
It is hoped that the book can be used for Ethical Culture discussion groups and will find a broader audience both among members of the larger humanist community and those interested in moral and social issues.
Speaking of Ethics is available from Amazon and other Web sites.
