Members and Guests: Let’s Get Together Again for Community Weekend

February 24, 2022

The Membership Committee and Community Weekend planners Diana Gross and Lisa Schwartz are excited to announce Community Weekend at Stony Point Conference Center June 3 through June 5.

It will certainly be nice to connect in person again in the relaxed and lovely setting of Stony Point. This year, as in past years, we will have planned activities such as a hike, walks, folk-dancing, music, and a discussion group, while leaving time to just relax and reconnect with friends. Of course, our annual bonfire with s’mores and sing-along is a must, followed by our traditional night of games with lots of goodies and beverages!

Please RSVP quickly

We are contracted for only 40 adults and 10 children, so please let us know ASAP if you think you will be attending. We reserved 12 double-occupancy Lodge rooms and 10 single-occupancy Lodge rooms, all large enough to accommodate two children. We also have three double-occupancy rooms booked in Gilmore Sloane House, which are reserved for a few older members who in the past expressed a desire for the Gilmore House. Please reply by email ([email protected]) if you are planning to attend and let us know your accommodation choice.

Lots of outdoor activities

Hopefully, Covid numbers will continue to go down and we will feel safe to meet again. As you know from past years, most activities are outdoors and there are outdoor tables for those who may not yet be comfortable eating indoors.

More details will follow, but we want to get an idea of how many will sign up so that we have time to ask about additional rooms if needed. Please rsvp as soon as you can. If you have any questions about the weekend, please let us know by emailing or calling Lisa Schwartz, 201-694-6323.
