We join together in celebration and joy to honor Lillian Lovich on her hundredth birthday! What a wonderful event! Lillian has been an active member of our Ethical Society since joining our community in the 1980s. She has been a visible presence at our platforms and had served on our Social Affairs Committee.

Lillian was born in Brooklyn and attended Brooklyn College. She worked for years as a secretary and bookkeeper. Married twice, Lillian joined the Socety after she was widowed. She loves the community, but the high point was meeting Margaret Hirshfeld and becoming fast friends. Lillian and Margaret became like sisters. They traveled the world together and spoke to each other almost every day. What a remarkable and splendid relationship. We can be very pleased that our Society was the meeting place that launched this very rich and most fulfilling friendship.
Lillian remains an engaged conversationalist and attentive listener, maintaining her sharp intellect and well-thought-out opinions. Though naturally shy, Lillian had found herself through her love of music and song. She has belonged to a chorus in Fair Lawn and was an active singer with our own Ethical Society chorus years ago.
What a tremendous person and what a marvelous milestone! We all share the joy with you, Lillian, and we wish you many more happy and fulfilling years!

The Society had planned a festive tribute to Lillian. We still hope to have birthday cake and more with Lillian when we can gather again in person. In lieu of that birthday party, members were invited to send Lillian a card at her home address: 280 Prospect Ave., #4G, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
