Members and friends celebrated the formal installation of Curt Collier as the first new leader of our Society in nearly 50 years. During the platform meeting on May 15, Ethical Culture Founder’s Day, members from across four generations spoke of their connection to our Society. Many members expressed their gratitude for Curt’s leadership, and Curt spoke of his deep connection to Ethical Culture and his optimism for our work together. The celebratory platform was followed by a reception outdoors for members and invited guests, including elected officials, environmental activists, and other friends of our Society. After the reception, the afternoon offered an opportunity to showcase Society activities during the SouthWest Teaneck Association street fair.
Curt became interim leader of our Society in March 2021, following the retirement of Joe Chuman in December 2020, and he became permanent leader earlier this year.
