Ages 4 and Up
Whoopi Goldberg takes a very serious subject of teaching manners to children and makes the rules seem reasonable and fun. After all,
- who wants to sit next to someone who’s talking in a movie theater?
- Who likes it when someone forgets to clean up after him/herself?
- Or coughing/sneezing without covering your mouth?
- Or someone who forgets to say “please,” “thank you,” “may I?” and/or “you’re welcome?”
You get the drift. Nothing preachy as we all tend to get now and then. The pictures by Olo are hilarious and help get the message across. Our primary class read this book and they were hysterical and agreed that manners have their important place in our lives.
