Our Society will run an information booth and activity at the “Boots Not Suits” Earth Day event of our partner, Groundwork Elizabeth, on Friday, April 22. There will be tree plantings, games and activities for youth, and food trucks. Our Seeds Before Creeds team will be handing out USDA portion plates and information on how food waste impacts climate change as part of our Earth Force/Chipotle grant.
Volunteers will meet at the large free parking lot within the park at 12:30 pm, and run a booth from 1 to 5 pm. Come whenever you want, stay as long as you want. A public restroom available.

Time: 1 to 5 pm (Volunteers needed at 12:30 pm to help set up.)
What to bring: Water bottles. Snacks will be provided.
Where: Phil Rizzuto Park. Set your navigation to 597 Morris Ave, Elizabeth, NJ. The park is about 38 minutes from the Bergen Society. Call Society Leader Curt Collier at 914-648-0009 if you need additional driving information.
