On a recent Sunday our students reinvigorated old student-designed T-shirts by tie-dying them. The kids started their day by recognizing International Peace Day in a gathering around the Peace Pole. Several wore their tie-dyed creations the following Sunday on their field trip to Wave Hill gardens and cultural center in the Bronx. In all, 38 people came together at Wave Hill to share community, nature, and art, said Samantha Stankiewicz, director of Religious Education.
