I am sure, if you are like me, you have enjoyed reading the many heartfelt and inspiring words embedded in our paved walkway. These time-captured words communicate the love for departed friends and family; the joy in honoring significant events of our lives; and the pride in our Society, its accomplishments and values.
But here is a challenge, next time you walk from the street up the paved path to the Meeting House, count the number of blank bricks. I know these look like blank bricks but they are more than that. These are placeholders for future remembrances, commemorations, and celebrations.
This November, on Membership Sunday, we will hold our next Paver Installation ceremony. This has become a cherished biannual event in our Society’s calendar.
Please take this opportunity to help us “Fill In The Blanks”. Purchase an inscribed brick for a donation of $100 (or $175) for double-sized) and add your words to our path. And a brick purchase does double duty. It expresses what you value; and it also helps our Society stay on the right path to serve our community and our membership.
