In a relatively short time, conservative forces in the US have undermined a woman’s right to control her body, banned books from libraries, prohibited the teaching of certain historical topics in schools (especially those related to the impact of slavery on American history), prioritized religious rights over civil rights, made voting more difficult, passed laws affecting the LGBTQ community, and supported a twice-impeached presidential candidate facing 37 indictments, including one for falsifying business records to silence a porn star.
Decades of civil rights advancements have been rolled back. How did this happen? Is the progressive agenda inherently fragile, or are there other factors at play? This talk by Society Leader Curt Collier will review expert analyses and predictions and explore how the progressive movement can regain its strength.
