Sunday Gathering: Radburn, ‘Town for the Motor Age’

October 13 @ 11:00 am12:30 pm

The Radburn neighborhood of Fair Lawn was founded in 1929 as the “Town for the Motor Age,” a community of 25,000 that would be safe from the car and free of congestion. It didn’t quite work out that way, which is an interesting story, and helps make this section of Fair Lawn one of only four National Historic Landmarks in Bergen County. Today’s speaker, Rick Hampson, is a retired journalist and longtime Radburn resident.

This Gathering is at the meetinghouse and on Zoom. The Zoom link will be in the weekly Focus newsletter and may be obtained by emailing [email protected] by noon on Saturday.
