Sunday Gathering: Let All Voices Be Heard

Society member David Bland will moderate a discussion with Jeremy Lentz, executive director of the Teaneck International Film Festival (TIFF), and film historian Richard Koszarski. During the program, the Society will present the Jack Rubenstein Ethical Recognition Award to the Teaneck International Film Festival for its work to create space for narratives that highlight different and distinct voices of our American culture.

Dubbed “the film festival with a social conscience,” since 2006, TIFF has uniquely exhibited films about marginalized and disenfranchised communities.

The Jack Rubenstein Ethical Recognition Award has been given since 1998 to persons or organizations who exemplify Ethical Culture’s belief that we should “act so as to elicit the best in others, and thereby ourselves.” Jack Rubenstein was an early, longtime member of our Society.
