The “Sunday School” phenomenon in America is coming to an end, and for some of us our response is “thank heavens!” For the past 147 years the Ethical Culture Movement has experimented with different approaches to teaching ethics to youth without the moral underpinnings (and baggage) of traditional religion.
In addition to their unique personalities and gifts, what capacities does a child need to posses to become an ethical person? Join Society Leader Curt Collier as he introduces our Family & Friends Circle curriculum. In this approach, parents and children remain in the room together, learning through community how to build a better world, a process that fosters ethics within a household and in the minds of young people, as well.
This Gathering is at the meetinghouse and on Zoom. The Zoom link will be in the weekly Focus newsletter and may be obtained by emailing [email protected].
