Sunday Gathering: Confronting the Youth Mental Health Crisis

The rise in anxiety and depression among our nation’s youth can be attributed to a range of factors, including the pandemic, social media, inadequate support networks, increasing loneliness, declining school funding, and environmental stressors.

As a result, more young people are missing educational milestones, college dropout rates are rising, and incidence of suicide and drug abuse are increasing.

Our Society will hold its third workshop this year to support professionals in addressing this crisis. However, solving this issue requires a collective community effort. Our speaker, Leader Curt Collier, will address the question: What can be done to promote better mental health and well-being in your community?

Award-winning musicians Suji Kim and Jacqueline Schiller-Audi will provide our music this morning.
