Platform: How Race Impacts Conservation

June 6 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

There have been many discussions of late as to whether the US is a racist nation. Conservative backlash against educational programs such as the NY Times “1619 Project,’’ calls for punishing schools and universities that teach critical race theory, and even vitriolic political discourse are all recent examples of the resistance regarding discussions on how race impacts American society. Drawing upon his nearly 15 years in conservation, Interim Leader Curt Collier will discuss how matters of race overtly, covertly, and consequently impact the conservation movement in America.

This platform will be held via Zoom. The Zoom link will be in the Weekly Announcements email and posted on the members-only Facebook page. It may also be obtained by emailing
