Pinecones, pot-holders, poetry and potluck! Our annual winter festivities will celebrate, not the letter “P,” but the importance of Connections, within ourselves, our family, our community and to the natural world that surrounds us. All are invited to two Festival events at our Society this winter.
First, come to the Meeting House on December 14, at 6:00 PM, to share Solstice Eve Supper. You bring something tasty, we supply a sparkling bower of lights, evergreens and good cheer. It’s a wonderful chance for older members to get better acquainted with the children and parents of our Sunday School, the future of our movement, plus it’s just plain fun!
Second, come back Sunday morning, December 15 at 11:00 AM, when we open the doors for Winter Festival : Connections. We are planning a joyful morning of craft and reflection, making and meditating, to celebrate our ties to one other. As in years past, we’ll share poetry and light candles to mark special thoughts, reach out to the needy with our Giving Tree, and conclude with a delicious potluck sampler of sweet and savory seasonal treats. In the hectic blare of an American holiday season, as the year turns, enjoy our handcrafted and heartfelt humanist celebration: Winter Festival: Connections
