From “substantial evidence of voter fraud” to “nobody is less racist than I am,” reporting the news is now full of pitfalls. With the lies flying around, reporters are assailed from Left and Right. Do they perform their jobs as they used to, getting one side of the story and then the others? (The Left hates that.) Or do they analyze what they saw and provide counterpoint? (The Right hates that.) What’s the happy—or at least less unhappy—medium?
